German to Italian translators: directory of translators and interpreters

my name is Claudio Ristagno and I am a big passion for languages and traslation.

I studied languagues (German, Russian and Polish) at the university and have also a good knowledge of Latin, Ancient Greek, Spanish and French. My overall ability with languages and my two years of experience as a translator give a lot of confidence in this job.

I graduated from Ca' Foscari University of foreign languages in Venice in 2014. I studied American English and German. Later, I attended an online course of editorial translation and in January 2020 I got my Master diploma in editorial and technical-scientific translation EN-IT. I did two internship specializing in patents.

My greatest passions are foreign languages, translation and literature but I also love informatics and technology.

I am a hard working and reliable person, and I guarantee accuracy. I have great typing skills and a good knowledge of CAT Tool Wordfast Pro 5. 

I am a newly established ENGLISH-ITALIAN and GERMAN-ITALIAN translator specialising in audiovisual translation: subtitling, script adaptation, website and videogame localization.

Before starting out as a freelancer, I gained work experience in the field of translation in two different companies as an in-house translator. Whereas from an academic point of view I got my Bachelor's Degree in translation and interpreting at the University of Trieste and a Master in audiovisual translation at the Instituto Superior de Estudios Lingüísticos y Traducción (ISTRAD) of Seville. Besides, I also attended some extra courses in website and videogame localization.

I would describe myself as a serious professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills, a passion for continuous learning and accustomed to working as a team and to performing in deadline-driven environments.

Date of birth: 22.9.44. Degree in Mechanical Engineering achieved by Polytechnics of Milan in 1969. He lived for a wide part of his life in contact with pilots, airports and aircrafts, as his father was a military pilot officer. Further I hve attended for five years the courses of  Oxford School of Milan (Pitman proficiency II- 1972) (known since 45 years) for the English language and three years of course for German language (known since 40 years) (European School and Philological Circle of Milan) - Goethe Zertifikat lev. B1(2011);  Course of 3 years in Brazilian Centrum in Milan (known since 25 years).  Spanish known from over 50 years. French known since 1971 (1 year of pratice in an office with bussiness relations  with French conmpanies . Course of 3 years in Brazilian Centrum in Milan (known since 25 years). Spanish known from over 50 years. He has worked as professional man in technical translations for many Companies of Milan Hinterland and also for other Companies located abroad

Born in northeastern Italy, close to Austria, Croatia and Slovenia and an hour and a half away from Venice, I grew up with a passion for languages and travel.

After attending a scientific high school, I studied foreign languages and literature at the University of Udine, Italy, where I graduated with honors. Subsequently, I obtained a Master's degree in Italian as a second language, which trained me as a teacher of Italian language and culture to foreigners.

I taught Italian for several years in Austria, where I studied jazz and pop singing at the conservatory, and in France, after having moved to Paris in 2008.

There's still a lot of music in my life. I regularly perform as a singer and have specialized in teaching music to children from birth.

I have also worked as commercial employee and account manager for different companies in Italy and France. This has allowed me to gain experience in the administrative and commercial field.

I have professional translation experience mainly in tourism and business, but I've also worked in several other fields. I love this job because it's a way to keep my mind travelling every day.
